Global Engagement

Dr. Jelina Haines’ engagement spans local communities in Australia and international networks across 18 countries, grounded in cultural stewardship, ethical collaboration, and creative empowerment. In Australia, she has delivered more than 60 community arts workshops, mentored Indigenous youth for over two decades, and led textile and wearable art projects that strengthen cultural pride and digital inclusion. Her contributions have been recognized through major honours, including the SA Governor’s Multicultural Award and Filipino–Australian Achiever awards from FILCCA and FSCCSA.

Globally, Jelina serves in executive leadership roles with ASIS&T (USA) and Catalyst Now (Global), advancing digital ethics, governance, and systems‑change initiatives across Oceania and beyond. Through SunRay Literacy Charity and long-term cultural partnerships, her work demonstrates how creativity, reciprocity, and community-led practice can foster meaningful connections and sustainable social impact across borders.
